Our Projects
We are developing new planning and development programs around land use, strengthening food security, enhancing water security and energy security, as well as municipal waste management and waste to energy.
We have recently developed project proposals for Empowering Small Farmers with Regenerative Agriculture and Forestry Practices with our project partners, Producers Trust. We will work with small farmers to adopt regenerative agriculture methods, increasing crop yields, improving soil health, protecting biodiversity and sequestering carbon. Our aim is to strengthen the capacities of small rural farmers in sustainable agriculture, agroforestry, reforestation, regenerative agriculture, creation of cooperatives and linkages with national and international markets.
We have signed an agreement with a major pan-African financial institution to secure the necessary investment and we are also engaging with the relevant multilateral institutions under the UN system.
We are also providing advice and conducting due diligence, on behalf of concession-holder partners, on potential carbon market and REDD+ in Mai-Ndombe and Equateur provinces. We will secure investment and financing for high-integrity carbon market projects in the DRC that will achieve verifiable carbon emission reductions or removals while enhancing the livelihoods of local communities as well as conservation and protection of biodiversity and the environment. We are providing advice to project partners on carbon market and REDD+ methodologies including establishment of baselines, data quality, quantity, and analytical tools for validation and verification of forest carbon and land use monitoring data platforms. We are working with relevant partners to facilitate access to ground inventory measurements at the project and jurisdiction level to improve the quality and accuracy of science products and services necessary for the relevant carbon market projects.
